POIPET

This town, located in the border with Thailand, shows an increasing trend in migration, gambling, casinos and brothels.

The Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus who moved to Poipet in January 2006 are organizing nutritional programs, which tries to reach all the patients in both Health Centers and provide them a supplementary doses of proteins helps reaching 2 of the most vulnerable groups of our society; Tuberculosis and HIV (+).

Visits to the women and children in the Prison is a every week activity, while the accompany, food three times a week and some activities are provided.

A new projects for the fallowing years is to build a Kindergarten and give the child a holistic education including a good diet.
